Situated in a unique area of The Umpqua Valley, the location of Bradley Vineyards boasts the ideal soil and weather conditions for growing pinot noir, riesling and gewürztraminer grapes. This new vineyard and winery is located on 145 acres in the coastal hills of the Umpqua Valley in the rural community of Elkton. Chateau Nonchalant grows and provides Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, and Syrah grapes for the wine industry. Their grapes are sought by wineries in the Umpqua and the Willamette Valleys in the state of Oregon. Delfino Vineyards is a family owned and operated estate winery. DeNino Umpqua River Vineyards The wines by DeNino Umpqua River Vineyards are available at Dino's Ristorante Italino, operated by the DeNino Family. Girardet is one of Oregon's oldest wine estates, located on southwest facing slopes outside of Roseburg. Founders Philippe and Bonnie Girardet established this European-style wine estate in 1971 with an intuition that this picturesque site resembled the best vineyard lands of Europe. Over the years they were proven right; the site features an ideal microclimate on the edge of the warmer interior Umpqua Valley and the cooler coastal mountain range. Second generation Winemaker, Marc Girardet, was taught the family tradition of winemaking working alongside his father Philippe, and since 1999 has been carrying on the passion for hand-crafting extraordinary wines with a touch of Old World. Scott Henry was one of the first to explore wine growing in the Umpqua Valley. River's Edge Winery, founded in 1998, specializes in the productions of the highest quality pinot noir wines. As its name implies, the winery is located on the edge of the Umpqua River in the northern most part of the Umpqua Valley. Two estate vineyards, Black Oak and Elkton, are the primary sources of River's Edge wines. These two vineyards were planted in 1973 and are among the oldest in the state. The winery produces Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay & Gewutztraminer. Hours are 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, daily throughout the summer and Wednesday through Sunday until the end of November.
